Why should I buy from Noseworthy Perfumes?

We’re proudly 100% Canadian owned and operated, so every purchase supports a Canadian business.

All inventory is kept on hand here in Canada, so you don’t have to worry about unexpected duties or brokerage fees at delivery.

Are the perfumes authentic?

Yes! We are proud to be an official retailer for all the brands we carry.

Do you only carry indie fragrances?

The short answer is yes.

Noseworthy focuses primarily on smaller, independent fragrance houses that can be difficult to find in Canada. Designer and larger, mainstream fragrance brands are already widely available, so we want to offer something a little different.

You may occasionally find a larger or more established brand at Noseworthy, but our goal is to bring you fragrances you won't find everywhere else.

Where are you located.

We are located in Ottawa, Ontario.

Do you offer local pick-up?

No, we do not offer local pickup.

Do you ship internationally?

No. At this time, we are not shipping outside of Canada.

Why don't you ship to the Northwest Territories or Nunavut?

Due to federal safety and transportation regulations, we are unable to ship alcohol-based perfumes to Nunavut or the Northwest Territories.

Perfume contains ethyl alcohol, a Class 3 Flammable Liquid (Dangerous Good). While certain dangerous goods can be transported by air under specialized requirements, the air transportation needed to reach these territories involves carrier restrictions and specialized handling that makes individual retail shipments impractical and cost-prohibitive.

What are the shipping costs?

Shipping is a flat fee of $10.00

Any order of $100 or more (before taxes) ships free.

For shipping purposes, why are perfumes considered Dangerous Goods?

Most perfumes contain a significant amount of alcohol, which makes them flammable. For transportation purposes, this means perfume is classified as dangerous goods (DG) and is subject to specific shipping requirements.

How are fragrances shipped?

We follow Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations when packaging and shipping your order. Eligible fragrances are shipped by ground service under the Limited Quantity provisions, using the required packaging and markings. This allows us to safely ship your fragrance while complying with Canadian transportation requirements.

What is the order processing time?

Orders are typically processed within 3 business days but we do our best to get your order out as soon as possible.

What does order processing time mean?

Order processing time is the time it takes us to prepare your order before it is handed over to the shipping carrier. This includes confirming your order, carefully packing your items, and preparing the package for shipment.

Processing time is separate from shipping time. Once your order has been shipped, you’ll receive tracking information so you can follow its journey to you.

For example, if our processing time is 1–3 business days, your order will typically be shipped within 1–3 business days after it is placed. The carrier’s delivery time begins once the package has been shipped.

Do you take returns?

At Noseworthy Perfumes, all sales are final. Returns are only accepted in limited circumstances, such as an item arriving damaged, incorrect, or otherwise not as described.

Please review your order carefully before purchasing. If you have any questions about a product, its condition, or what’s included, we’re always happy to help before you place your order.

What happens if I ordered the wrong perfume?

If you’ve just placed your order and it has not yet shipped, please contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to cancel the order, issue a refund, and help you place a new order if needed.

What happens if my perfume bottle arrives damaged or broken?

If your perfume bottle arrives damaged or broken, we’ll gladly replace it. Please see our return /refund policy for details.
