Apoteker Tepe was founded to explore the roots of fragrance: the mysterious, ambiguous, transcendent quality it has to connect us as humans. It is about reintroducing ancient, rare and unusual raw materials too time consuming, too variable, and too costly for use in mass-produced perfume. It is about creating something truly special because it is rigorously researched, individually sourced, produced by hand, and artfully, proudly inefficient. It is fragrance for the re-enchantment of the world.

Attention: Apoteker Tepe restock

Due to the 50% counter-tariffs that were imposed on goods of US origin (including perfume) effective September 8th, 2026 we will not be restocking any Pineward or Apoteker Tepe products until the counter-tariffs are removed.

The perfumer and a revival story

After intensive studies in fragrance formulation and production at Le Labo Fragrances in New York City, Holladay founded Apoteker Tepe in 2014.

From 2014 to 2018, Holladay served as the operational and creative director of Apoteker Tepe before moving on to new projects. In 2022, the brand was acquired by Nicholas Nilsson (founder of Pineward), a dedicated fan of the brand, with the goal of bringing Apoteker Tepe's fragrances back into production.

Working closely with Holladay,  Nicholas Nilsson is pleased to once more present the Apoteker Tepe collection.
